Maury, as he liked to be called, was one of those few, rare human beings that come along in human history to blaze the new pathways for a better life for all people. He was a completely unselfish human. He loved to share his ideas and his work with others. He had little time for pretentious people, because he had a unique ability to see a person's human potential no matter what their rank  in life.  All of this is proven in his list of accomplishments. He could have rightly claimed sole founder ship to all of the various organizations he was involved in, but he loved to share and did this without hesitation.

He "co-founded" The Institute for the Study  of Galactic Civilizations out of his love for humanity.  This was the last organization he started. It was the culmination of a long and accomplished career in which he started as a simple water engineer and ended with him being one of the foremost humanity engineers in the world. His interest in bettering human life resulted in the Peace Corp. It was his ideas that the  Kennedy organization took and named the Peace Corp. It was Maury's willingness to share that pushed Sargent Shriver to make the Peace Corp the crowning achievement of the Kennedy legacy.  Maury "co-founded" the International Association for New Science,The Institute for UFO Research, Hydrogen Now and many more.
If you can love one child better than another, Village Earth  was his favorite.
